Week 10/3 - 10/17
Week of 10/10: The main focus for this week's artwork is to create sketches in different art styles central around the theme of North Mythology. We held a short art meeting to discuss the styles and general designs on Friday October 8th for about half an hour. I made some sketches for UI such as the pause menu as well as the character (shooter) designs. The pause menu design takes about 1.5 hours while the character designs takes about 2 hours and shooter animation takes about an hour.
As member of the narrative team, I had meeting regarding the general tone of the game on October 5th, which also lasted about an hour, as well as the general studio meeting on Sunday October 10th for another hour.
Since the project Tower is a case study for Bloom TD6, I also played several hours of TD6 so that I can learn more about the art styles and unlock the highest upgrade for shooters in the game. I attached a screenshot of my Steam record as well as highest Bloom Record at the bottom.

Week of 10/17: The main focus for this week's artwork is to similar to last week, create sketches for UI as well as single shooter character art and animation. I spend around 4 hours working on sketch for the main menu art, 3 hours working on single shooter character art design and it's animation on Procreate, which I will implement into Illustrator once approved.
As member of the narrative team, I had a 1to1 meeting that we brainstorm and decide the shooter towers on October 11th. It lasted about an hour. There is also an general studio meeting on Sunday October 17th for another hour.
This week, I did several bloom daily challenges which some of them limited the use of type and numbers of tower. It's interesting to be forced to use towers that aren't really familiar to me. This limitation also shows me the possible outcome of Project Tower, since we will only have limited path upgrade and limited types of towers. In addition, the Halloween event in Bloom is also interesting, I was introduced to several maps that I never tried before, and some of them are in Halloween style which provides me some design ideas on the tone and style of Project Tower.
